The Calgary Stampede Powwow returns to the 'Dome for two days of competition on July 12 & 13. Featuring the best dancers and drummers from across Canada and the United States, this extraordinary competition will highlight the diversity of First Nations dancing, singing, and drumming.

If you’ve never been to a powwow, now is your chance to be dazzled by world-class competitors, learn about the origins and contemporary practices of powwow dancing and immerse yourself in this one-of-a-kind event. Grab your favourite Midway treat and drop in to catch all or part of the competition. The Stampede Powwow is free with admission – we can’t wait to see you at this not-to-be-missed event!


Seating for the event will be in the lower bowl of the Saddledome, and chairs will be provided (no need to bring your own). You are welcome to bring blankets, but reserving seats should be limited. Seating is first come, first serve for this free-with-admission event.

Guests can drop in at any time during the competition, which runs from noon until 6 p.m. on July 12 and 13. 


Soft drinks and snacks will be available for purchase inside the 'Dome.


Guests are encouraged to leave bags/purses at home or limit the size of their bag. Bags must be smaller than 14″x14″x6″ and must fit comfortably underneath your seat.

Moving forward, all future tickets sold for events at Scotiabank Saddledome will be Mobile Only Delivery. Tickets can be accessed and displayed via the Ticketmaster App.

Guests at the Saddledome are required to go through security screening procedures when attending an event; there are walk-through magnetometers at all points of entry and guests will be asked to remove all items from their pockets.
